| Client engagement profile #2
A leading mobile networking company invested
significantly in remodeling its product architecture and committed
to specific timelines to its partner ecosystem. The product under
test was developed in VC++ for Windows platform. The product provides
to any roaming user the facility of connecting to the Internet to
access corporate network resources with security. A secured connectivity
was provided by the support of Virtual Private Network (VPN), Personal
Fire Wall (PFW) and Antivirus. The client management preferred to consolidate
its core strength towards building the product and de-risk quality from development
by engaging STAG as its strategic quality partner.
Analyzing historical test artifacts and supporting
issues, we setup a new test strategy to understand end user acceptance
goal and perform intelligent regression testing - used Interaction Matrix (IM5) -
tool from STEMTM -to identify the scope of regression for every change
done to the code due to enhancement or bug fixes. We applied core STEMTM
techniques - BEST, EFF, and CTQ - to strengthen existing test cases in
terms of depth and breadth, improve readiness of build and to help uncover
defects for different types of tests.
This engagement benefited the client in timely
release of product with extensive deployment capability and buy-in
from one of its prospect. Further, the client also benefited from
savings in rework down by 25% and schedule variance down to 3%.
